Why consumer mesh fails in a business
A mesh kit from a big-box store solves coverage by relaying — each hop roughly halves the available bandwidth, and the relay competes with the clients for airtime. In a house with six devices that's fine. In an office with forty, it collapses precisely when everyone needs it.
Business access points are cabled back to the switch, so every AP has full backhaul. Add proper channel planning and power tuning and you get consistent throughput instead of a strong signal that can't move data.
Coverage is not the same as capacity
Full bars in every corner means nothing if thirty devices are sharing one radio. We design for the number of concurrent devices in each area, not just the floor plan — which usually means more access points at lower power rather than fewer at maximum.

Common questions
Before you call
How many access points do we need?
It depends on device count and construction far more than square footage. A brick-walled 3,000 sq ft office can need more APs than an open 6,000 sq ft floor. The survey answers it properly.
Can you improve Wi-Fi without re-cabling?
Sometimes — poor channel planning and badly placed APs are common and fixable. But if there's no cabling to good AP positions, adding cable is what actually solves it.
Do you set up a separate guest network?
Yes, and we'd recommend it as standard. Guest traffic isolated from your internal network, with its own bandwidth limits.
What brands do you install?
UniFi for most business deployments — it's reliable, well-priced and you keep full control. We'll work with what you have if you're already invested elsewhere.
