When a bridge beats a trench
Trenching fiber between two buildings means excavation, reinstatement, and often permission from somebody who owns the ground in between. A point-to-point bridge needs line of sight, a mount at each end and power — and it's typically a fraction of the cost.
The trade-off is that it depends on that line of sight staying clear. We survey for it, allow for tree growth, and mount high enough that the link isn't at the mercy of a delivery truck.
Getting the link stable
Most unreliable bridges are unreliable for two reasons: they were aimed by eye, and they're sharing a congested band with every other device in the area. We align on signal, pick a clean channel, and test sustained throughput rather than accepting that the link 'came up'.

Before you call
How far can a wireless bridge reach?
With clear line of sight, several kilometres is achievable. Most of what we install is much shorter — building to building on the same site, or across a road.
Do we need line of sight?
Yes, for a reliable link. Partial obstruction — a few branches — can sometimes be worked around at shorter distances, but a solid obstruction can't. The survey tells us honestly.
Is a bridge secure?
The link is encrypted and treated as part of your internal network, isolated from any guest wireless. It's no more exposed than a cable you don't own the whole route of.
What happens in bad weather?
Properly specified links have fade margin built in for rain and snow. We size the link for the conditions here, not for a lab.
