E-waste disposal with a certificate that proves it
Old equipment sitting in a storeroom is a data liability, not an asset. Every drive in that pile still holds whatever was on it — and 'we deleted the files' isn't destruction.
At a glance
- Certificate of disposal supplied
- Certificate of data destruction
- Asset list recorded before collection
- Responsible recycling, not landfill
Deleting isn't destroying
Formatting a drive or deleting files removes the pointers, not the data. Recovery tools are freely available and effective. For anything that held client records, financial data or credentials, the drive needs to be wiped to standard or physically destroyed.
We do either, and you get documentation identifying each device — which is the part that matters if anyone ever asks.
Why the paperwork is the product
Anyone can take equipment away. What you're actually buying is the ability to demonstrate, later, that a specific serial number was destroyed on a specific date. Without that record you can't answer the question, and under most privacy obligations you're expected to be able to.

Common questions
Before you call
Isn't deleting the files enough?
No. Deletion removes the reference, not the data, and recovery software is freely available. Anything that held sensitive information needs wiping to standard or physical destruction.
What paperwork do we get?
A certificate of data destruction listing devices by serial number, and a certificate of disposal showing the equipment was recycled responsibly.
Do you collect from our site?
Yes. We inventory on site and take it away — you don't need to arrange transport or store it any longer.
Can equipment be reused instead of destroyed?
Where it has useful life and the data can be securely wiped, yes — that's usually the better outcome. The decision is made per device based on what it held.
