Building automation that pays for itself in utilities

Most commercial buildings waste a significant share of their energy heating, cooling and lighting space that nobody is in. Automation is mostly about not doing that.

At a glance

  • Lighting, HVAC and access integrated
  • Schedules and occupancy control
  • Energy monitoring and reporting
  • Works with existing systems where possible

The savings are mostly schedules

Sophisticated optimisation is interesting, but the bulk of savings in most buildings comes from simple things: not heating an empty building overnight, lights that switch off when a zone is unoccupied, and setpoints that don't fight each other.

We start there because it's where the return is, and it costs far less than replacing plant.

Integration beats replacement

You rarely need to rip out working systems. Modern controllers can usually talk to existing HVAC, lighting and access hardware, bringing them into one interface without replacing what already works. We'll assess what can be integrated before recommending anything gets replaced.

What's included

What you get

  • Lighting control — Occupancy, daylight and schedule-based control by zone.
  • HVAC integration — Setpoints, schedules and zoning brought under central control.
  • Access & security integration — Doors, alarms and occupancy sharing one control layer.
  • Energy monitoring — Consumption measured by zone so savings are visible.
  • Remote management — Control and visibility from anywhere, with role-based access.
  • Documentation & training — Your facilities team trained and left with documentation.

How it runs

The process, start to finish

Every job follows the same shape, so you always know where you are in it.

Existing HVAC, lighting and controls audited for what can be integrated.

Design & quote

Control strategy, hardware and integration points scoped.

Install

Controllers, sensors and network cabling installed.

Integrate & program

Systems brought together, schedules and rules configured.

Commission

Setpoints tuned and behaviour verified across a full cycle.

Train & hand over

Common questions

Before you call

Do we have to replace our HVAC?

Usually not. Most existing plant can be brought under control with the right controllers. We assess what integrates before recommending replacement.

How quickly does it pay back?

It depends heavily on the building and current settings, but schedule and occupancy control is normally the fastest return because it costs little and eliminates obvious waste.

Can we control it remotely?

Yes, with role-based access so facilities staff have control and others have visibility only.

Does this work in a leased building?

Often, for lighting and anything within your demise. Central plant usually belongs to the landlord — we'll tell you where the boundary is before you spend anything.
