Getting found online, run by the people who run your network

Most businesses end up with a website from one company, hosting from another, a Google listing nobody has logged into in years, and an ads account a former contractor still has the password to. We do the whole stack, so when something breaks there is nobody to point at.

At a glance

  • Websites designed, built and hosted in one place
  • Local SEO aimed at Durham, not the whole country
  • Google Ads with real conversion tracking
  • Business listings claimed, corrected and kept current

Most agencies do not have access to your DNS. We do.

Half the delay in a website project is not design. It is waiting on somebody to change a DNS record, issue a certificate, fix a mail record the new site broke, or work out who actually controls the domain.

We already hold that layer for our hosting clients. There is no ticket to another company and no three-day wait to point a record at a new server. The person redesigning the site is the person who can move it.

If your domain is registered elsewhere, that is fine. We will tell you exactly what we need and get it done without asking you to learn what an SPF record is.

A website nobody can find is a brochure in a drawer

A good-looking site that ranks for nothing brings in nothing. The work that gets a Durham business found is unglamorous: pages that match what people actually search, a page for each service in each town you serve, a Google Business Profile that is complete and current, and listings that agree with each other.

Ranking in Durham is a different job from ranking in Toronto. Volumes are lower, the competition is thinner, and the deciding factors are local: proximity, reviews, listing consistency, and whether you have a page about that service in that town at all. National SEO tactics are mostly wasted money here.

Your listings are probably wrong somewhere you have never checked

Google Business Profile is the one most owners know about. Then there is Apple Business Connect, which is what every iPhone in Maps is reading, plus Bing Places, Yelp, Yellow Pages, and directories that scraped your details years ago and never updated them.

An old phone number on a directory you forgot existed sends calls to nobody, and you have no way of knowing it happened. We claim what is unclaimed, correct what is wrong, and hand you the logins. Your accounts stay yours.

Ads do not fix a slow site

Paid search is the fastest way in front of somebody ready to buy. It is also the fastest way to pay for clicks landing on a page that takes six seconds to load and does not say what you do.

We look at where the click lands before spending anything on sending traffic to it. When ads do run, conversion tracking goes in first, so you know which campaigns produce phone calls and which produce nothing. Without that you are guessing with a budget.

What we will tell you not to buy

Bulk directory submission services. Being wrong in two hundred places is worse than being right in the handful people and search engines actually consult.

A rebuild, when the site you have is WordPress and reasonably current. Improving what exists is usually cheaper, and we will say so.

SEO, if you are not prepared to run it past six months. Local search moves in months, not weeks, and money spent on three months of it is money wasted. Better spent on the listings and the site itself first.

What you get

  • Website design & build — Included in a build: WordPress or a static site depending on what you actually need, mobile-first, with the phone number where people look for it.
  • Local SEO on-page work — Included in a build: page structure, headings, schema markup, internal linking and the technical fixes.
  • Google Business Profile — Included in a build: claimed, verified and completed. Categories, services, service area, hours, photos.
  • Business listing setup — Included in a build: Apple Business Connect, Bing Places, Yelp, Yellow Pages and the directories that matter, all agreeing with each other.
  • Social account setup — Included in a build: profiles created, branded, configured, access handed to you.
  • Hosting, SSL and backups — Included while we host you: our own infrastructure, off-site backups, uptime monitoring.
  • CopywritingAdd-on. Somebody has to write it. If that is not going to be you, price it in from the start.
  • Service-area pagesAdd-on. A page per service per town. This is the work that actually moves local ranking.
  • Google Ads managementMonthly. Campaign build, keyword and negative keyword work, conversion tracking, and a report that says what the spend produced.
  • Ongoing SEOMonthly. Only worth starting if you will run it for at least six months.
  • Content on a retainerMonthly. Posts and newsletters written by somebody who understands what you sell.
  • Site maintenanceMonthly. Updates applied on a staging copy first, then to the live site. This is what stops an update breaking a form nobody notices for a week.

The process, start to finish

Every job follows the same shape, so you always know where you are in it.

Audit

We look at the site you have, what you rank for now, what your listings say, and where competitors appear that you do not. You get the findings whether or not you hire us.

Plan

Scope, page list, keyword targets and price, agreed before any work starts.

Build

Design, then pages, then content. You review at each stage rather than seeing it all at the end.

Launch

Staged first, tested, then DNS cutover at a time that suits you. Old URLs redirected so you keep the rankings you already have.

List & measure

Listings claimed and corrected, analytics and conversion tracking installed, Search Console connected.

Run & report

Ongoing SEO, ads, content or maintenance depending on what you signed up for. One monthly report in plain English.

Want this scoped for your site?

Tell us the building and what you're trying to achieve. We'll tell you what it takes, and whether you actually need it.

Before you call

Do we have to host with you?

No. It is simpler when you do, because the people building the site are the people who control the server, but we will build on your existing hosting if you would rather stay put. We will also tell you honestly if that hosting is going to cause problems.

Can you improve our existing site instead of rebuilding it?

Usually, and often that is the cheaper answer. If it is WordPress and reasonably current, improving what you have beats starting over. If it is a builder platform you cannot export from, or nothing has been updated in five years, a rebuild costs less than fighting it.

Who owns the website, the domain and the ad accounts?

You do. Everything is created under your accounts or transferred to them, and you get the logins. If you leave, you take it all with you.

How long before SEO does anything?

Listings and Google Business Profile work can show up in a few weeks. Ranking for competitive service terms takes months. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is selling you something.

Do we have to be an IT client?

No. Plenty of clients use us only for the website and marketing side.

What does it cost?

Builds are quoted per project once we know the page count and what has to be migrated. SEO, ads and content are monthly at a fixed rate agreed in advance. We will not put a number on this page, because a five-page site for a trades business and an online store with four hundred products are not the same job. There is a budget estimator on the resources page if you want a range before you call.
