What the prices mean
Prices come straight from Porkbun’s live catalogue and are shown in US dollars. The registration figure is the first-year price and can include a promotion; the renewal figure is what it costs every year after that, and on some extensions it is much higher. Where Porkbun does not return a price, the result says so rather than guessing.
The next step is deliberate
An available result is not a reservation. Use Contact us on the result to send us the name with your contact details — we confirm the price, register it and configure it for you. Which extensions do you check?
Every extension in Porkbun's live catalogue — several hundred in total. The common business extensions (.com, .ca, .net, .org, .co, .io, .biz, .info, .xyz, .me, .shop, .store, .tech, .online, .site, .dev and .app) are checked for availability automatically; use the category filters above the results — business, tech, shopping, country and more — to check any of the rest.
Why does pricing appear before availability?
Pricing is one catalogue lookup that covers every extension at once. Availability is one check per domain, and Porkbun allows one every ten seconds account-wide, so results fill in over time rather than all at once. Extensions that are obviously registered are identified straight away and do not use up a check. Filtering to a category checks only that group, which is why it settles faster than the full list.
Are the prices in Canadian dollars?
No. Porkbun bills in US dollars, so the results are labelled USD. The renewal price matters as much as the first year on some extensions, so both are shown.
Does the search register the domain?
No. It only checks availability and pricing. Use Contact us on an available result and we register and configure it for you.
Can you register an available domain for me?
Yes. Use Contact us on any available result — it takes you to our contact form with the domain already filled in. Leave your name and phone number and we confirm the exact price and any eligibility rules, register it, and point it wherever it needs to go. An available result on its own is not a purchase reservation, and nothing is charged until we have spoken.
What if I already own the domain?
Use the domain transfer page. A transfer is different from registering a new domain and usually needs an auth or EPP code from your current registrar.
