Business email hosting without the Microsoft 365 bill
Microsoft 365 solves a lot of problems a small mailbox doesn't have. If all you need is professional email on your own domain that filters spam and doesn't get spoofed, buying the whole stack is paying for floors you'll never use.
At a glance
- Anti-spam filtering and quarantine
- DMARC, SPF and DKIM configured and monitored
- Migration from your current provider
- No Microsoft 365 subscription required
Filtering that stops junk without hiding real mail
Every inbound message is scanned before it reaches a mailbox: known spam sources, malicious attachments and phishing patterns are filtered out, and anything borderline lands in a quarantine you can check rather than a black hole. Nothing is deleted outright on a first pass, because a filter confident enough to delete on sight is also confident enough to bin a legitimate customer.
Quarantine is reviewed on a schedule, and rules are adjusted when a sender you actually want keeps landing in it. A filter nobody looks at just moves the spam problem from your inbox to a folder you never open.
SPF, DKIM and DMARC on a mailbox you actually control
SPF, DKIM and DMARC are the records that tell the rest of the internet which servers are allowed to send mail as your domain, and what to do with a message that fails the check. Without them, anyone can send an email that appears to come from you, which is how invoice fraud against your customers usually starts.
We set these up on your mail hosting the same way we do for a Microsoft 365 tenant: SPF listing your sending sources, DKIM signing outbound mail, and DMARC starting in monitoring mode so we can see who's actually sending before anything gets blocked. Once the reports show only legitimate senders, DMARC moves to enforcement and spoofed mail gets rejected instead of delivered.
Mailboxes, aliases and shared inboxes set up properly
Every user gets a mailbox on your domain, reachable through webmail or any mail client over IMAP and SMTP: no proprietary app required. Aliases, catch-alls and shared mailboxes for things like info@ or accounts@ are set up as part of onboarding, not billed as separate line items.
Mailbox limits, forwarding rules and out-of-office settings are things we configure once and document, so the next person who needs to change one isn't guessing.
Migrating without losing a week of mail
Moving mail hosting is the part people put off because they're afraid of the gap where messages go missing. We copy mailboxes across ahead of the cut-over so the old and new systems hold the same mail, then switch MX records with a short TTL once everything matches. Staff keep working; the outage, if there is one, is measured in minutes.
When you actually need Microsoft 365 instead
This page is for a business that wants a mailbox: professional address, reliable delivery, spam kept out, mail authenticated properly. It does not include Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint or the storage that comes bundled with a Microsoft 365 licence.
If your team lives in Teams, needs shared document libraries, or is already paying for Office apps anyway, the mailbox is a rounding error on top of a licence you need regardless, and Microsoft 365 is the better buy. This is the lighter option for everyone else: a business that just needs email to work.
What you get
- Business mailboxes — Included: mailboxes on your own domain, reachable by webmail, desktop mail apps or a phone, over IMAP and SMTP.
- Anti-spam filtering — Included: inbound mail scanned for spam, malware and phishing before it reaches an inbox.
- Spam quarantine — Included: filtered mail held and reviewable, not deleted outright.
- Email authentication — Included: SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured and monitored through to enforcement.
- Aliases and shared mailboxes — Included: info@, accounts@ and distribution lists set up as part of onboarding.
- Mailbox migration — Included: moved from your current provider with mail flowing throughout the switch.
- The rest of Microsoft 365 — Not this page. Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive are the Microsoft 365 service, not standalone email hosting.
The process, start to finish
Every job follows the same shape, so you always know where you are in it.
Review
We look at your domain, current mail provider and how many mailboxes you actually need.
Plan
Migration approach and cut-over window agreed around your business, not ours.
Configure
Mailboxes, aliases, spam filtering and SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up before anything moves.
Migrate
Mail copied across ahead of the cut-over so both systems match.
Cut over
MX records switched with a short TTL. Delivery verified on both sides.
Ongoing support
Mailbox adds, removes and spam tuning handled as part of the plan.

Before you call
What's the difference between this and Microsoft 365?
Email hosting gets you a mailbox on your domain with spam filtering and authentication, and nothing else. Microsoft 365 gets you that mailbox plus Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. If your business doesn't use the Office apps or Teams, buying the full 365 licence just for a mailbox is paying for software that sits unused. If it does, the mailbox is already covered and this page is the wrong page.
Do we get Outlook or Teams with this?
No. This is mailbox hosting on its own, accessed through webmail or the mail client of your choice over IMAP and SMTP. If you need Outlook, Word, Excel or Teams, that's the Microsoft 365 service.
Can you migrate us without losing mail?
Yes. We copy mail across before the cut-over so the old and new systems match, then switch MX records with a short TTL. Staff keep working through the move.
What happens to mail that gets flagged as spam?
It's held in quarantine, not deleted. You can review it, and if something legitimate keeps landing there we adjust the rule rather than making you check a folder forever.
Is DMARC actually necessary for a small business?
If you send any mail from your domain, yes. Without it, anyone can send a message that looks like it came from you, which is how invoice fraud against your own customers usually starts. We start DMARC in monitoring mode and move to enforcement once the reports show only your legitimate senders.
Can we move to Microsoft 365 later if we outgrow this?
Yes. Mailboxes, mail flow and DNS records carry across; you're not migrating from scratch, you're adding the rest of the 365 stack on top of a domain that's already configured properly.
